Not as expected
The staff was nice and friendly. The food was great! Breakfast lunch, and dinner were super good, especially at the restaurant Fasano (that was a five-star experience, and we were excited to eat there every night). The view of the bedroom was amazing.
There was loud music at each pool and on the beach, and some guests brought their speakers, which caused the music to overlap. This made finding a peaceful spot to relax or read difficult, so we avoided the pools and hot tubs. The music played daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. Unfortunately, the hot tubs weren't even hot. The resort’s architecture was confusing, with many stairs and lots of concrete, making the environment uninviting and uncomfortable. Some stairs didn’t lead anywhere, and we had to climb 3-4 flights just to reach the breakfast buffet. To make things worse, half the elevators weren’t working. The ones that did often didn’t serve all floors, or the buttons to call them were broken. Being on the 11th floor made getting around inconvenient. Construction was going on, but it was discreet and less disruptive than the constant music. We were disappointed by the drinks—most alcoholic beverages weren’t included in the all-inclusive package and the ones that were were watered down and overly sweet. However, the juices were excellent. We also encountered some rude guests, playing loud music on their devices, smoking on the beach, yelling at the bar, and even catcalling. The outdoor lounges by the pool were not free, and the mattresses didn’t seem clean. The ones by the kids' pool were free but even dirtier. On the weekend, a jet ski stand on the beach caused noise pollution and made the area smell like gasoline. Thankfully, they were only there for the weekend, so the beach was peaceful from Monday onward. We had to switch rooms because our air conditioner broke, the bathroom door got stuck, the bathroom lights flickered, and the sink and shower clogged. The gym was poorly maintained. The yoga mats were filthy, and some of the plants looked unhealthy. Despite these issues, we did have a nice vacation and ended up staying at the Emporio because it was easier, deciding to make the most of it. We spent most of our time at the beach, which was lovely.
